Provincial Nomination Programs

Provincial nominations presents a great pathway to Canadian PR. Each province have their own unique programs; except Quebec and Nunavut.

Types of PNP

  • Express entry
  • Non-express entry

Provincial nominations (Express entry):

  • Be eligible in one of the three federal economic program : the federal skilled worker class Canadian experience class (CEC) or FSTC.
  • Create an express entry profile and choose in which province or territory they intend to immigrate to
  • If invited for nomination certificate gives an additional 600 points under the express entry comprehensive ranking system which increases the applicant points and they receive an invitation to apply.

Provincial nomination (Non-express entry):

    • First apply to the provincial programs for a nomination certificate;
    • Once nominated by a province, submit application to IRCC to become a PR.

    There are various immigration streams available in every province.

MANITOBA

The MPNP admits application under the following streams:

  • Skilled worker immigration stream – including those in Manitoba and overseas.
  • Manitoba business investor stream.
  • Modern community driven immigration initiative – through the MPNP.
  • International education stream.
NEW BRUNSWIK

The NBPNP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • Express entry labour market stream.
  • Skilled workers with employer support.
  • Post graduate entrepreneurial stream.
  • Skilled workers with family support.
  • Entrepreneurial stream.
NORTHWEST TERRITORIES

The NTPNP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • Northwest territories express entry
  • Employer driven program
  • Business driven program
NOVA SCOTIA

The NSNP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • Nova scotia demand: express entry
  • Nova scotia experience : express entry
  • Nova scotia labour market priorities
  • Skilled worker stream
  • Entrepreneur
  • International graduate entrepreneur stream
  • Physician stream
ONTARIO

The OINP admits application under the following immigration categories:

Ontario express entry

  • Ontario express entry: human capital priorities stream
  • Ontario express entry: French – speaking worker stream
  • Ontario express entry: skilled trades stream

General category

  • Foreign workers with a job offer stream
  • Employer job offer in – demand skills stream

International student category

  • International student with a job offer stream
  • International students Master graduate stream
  • International students Phd graduate stream

Business category

  • Entrepreneur stream
  • Corporate stream
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

The PEI PNP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • PEI PNP express entry
  • Labour impact category
  • Business impact category
SASKATCHEWAN

The SINP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • International skilled worker category
  • Saskatchewan experience category
  • Entrepreneur and farm category
YUKON

The YNP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • Yukon express entry (YEE)

ALBERTA

The AINP consist of the following immigration streams:

  • Alberta opportunity stream
  • Alberta express entry stream
  • Alberta self-employed farmer stream
BRITISH COLUMBIA

The BC PNP accepts applications under two main immigration streams:

Skills immigration:

  • Skilled worker category
  • Health care professional category
  • International graduate category
  • International post-graduate category
  • Entry level and semi-skilled worker category

Entrepreneur immigration

  • Entrepreneur category
  • Strategic projects category

NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR

The NLPNP admits application under the following immigration categories:

  • Newfoundland & labrador express entry skilled worker
  • Skilled worker category
  • International graduate category
  • Atlantic immigration pilot program
